Questions about Robbe & Berking Atlantic-Brillant Cutlery Set — 24 Pieces

Why does Atlantic belong on some of Europe’s most considered restaurant tables?

Atlantic has been selected for restaurants ranging from Michelin-starred dining rooms to highly individual chef-led destinations. The collection’s clear profile and balanced proportions allow it to accompany ambitious cuisine without competing with it. Atlantic Brillant takes that same Wilfried Moll design and gives it a highly polished expression, bringing more light and reflection to the table.

What does a mirror-polished surface reveal when the table becomes more intimate?

In the 24-piece Atlantic Brillant set, the reflective character of the collection is experienced at close range. Six guests encounter the essential pieces of the setting, where the highly polished stainless steel catches fragments of porcelain, glassware, food and light. Every reflection becomes specific to the table around it.

Can four pieces per guest be enough to show the full character of Atlantic Brillant?

Yes. The knife, fork, spoon and coffee spoon concentrate Wilfried Moll’s design into its most essential forms. Without a larger number of speciality pieces, the relationship between profile, proportion and polished surface becomes particularly clear.

Why does Atlantic Brillant never look exactly the same twice?

Because its surface responds continuously to its surroundings. Daylight, candlelight, coloured glass, white porcelain and even movement around the table alter what appears in the polished steel. The form remains constant, while its visual expression changes with every setting.

What separates Atlantic Brillant from Atlantic Matt?

The design language is shared, but the atmosphere changes through the finish. Atlantic Matt absorbs and softens light through its brushed surface, while Atlantic Brillant reflects the room around it. The distinction is therefore not one of shape, but of how the same design behaves at the table.
