01 The story

From Sketch to Table

Table Noir for 108 was developed with the Copenhagen restaurant to create a calm, complete place setting around the meal. The restrained silhouette is shaped by subtle details: the spoon and fork can rest together as a pair, while the knife is drawn from one straight line and two continuous curves. The Noir version is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a silky black satin-matte PVD finish. Its dark surface echoes the natural, understated palette associated with Nordic dining. Choose a setting for 4, 8 or 12 people. Every place setting contains a table knife, table fork, table spoon and teaspoon.

Questions about Table Noir for 108 — Noir Cutlery Set

What defines the NOIR Black Satin Matte finish of Table Noir for Michelin Restaurant 108?

The NOIR edition gives the 108 cutlery its distinctive silky black expression. The Black Satin Matte PVD surface was created to reflect the understated character and natural palette of the Nordic kitchen, giving the steel a deep, softly muted appearance. The finish brings particular clarity to the restrained lines and subtle curves of the 108 design, while its silky surface gives the individual pieces a warm and tactile quality in the hand.

What are the dimensions of the Table Noir for 108 NOIR cutlery?

The proportions of the 108 collection were developed to feel light and balanced in the hand while creating a harmonious relationship between the individual pieces at the table. Table knife: 21.7 cm. Table fork: 19.7 cm. Table spoon: 19.7 cm. Teaspoon: 14.5 cm.

What is Table Noir for 108 NOIR made from?

The NOIR edition is produced in 18/10 stainless steel and finished with a Black Satin Matte PVD coating. The combination brings together the durability required of cutlery conceived for restaurant use with the silky black surface that gives NOIR its distinctive identity. The cutlery is dishwasher safe and was developed with quality and longevity at the centre of the design.

What is the story behind the spoon and fork in the 108 collection?

One of the most discreet details of the 108 collection appears when the spoon and fork are brought together. Table Noir developed a subtle feature that allows the two pieces to 'spoon' together, creating a natural relationship between their forms. The connection is almost invisible when the pieces are viewed individually, yet took six months to develop — a small detail that reveals the extraordinary attention given to proportion, interaction and refinement throughout the collection.

How should Table Noir for 108 NOIR be cared for?

The NOIR edition is dishwasher safe and was created to be used and enjoyed over time. To help preserve the silky Black Satin Matte PVD surface, Table Noir recommends using the cutlery with porcelain tableware. More abrasive ceramic surfaces can gradually affect a coated finish through repeated contact. Considered care will help maintain the distinctive deep black character that defines the NOIR edition.
