From Sketch to Table
A pattern begins before the steel is shaped. In Nina, the line moves softly — drawn from Norwegian nature, ornament and the rhythm of the set table.

S- and C-shaped curves move through the handle like small traces of rosemaling. Ornament becomes part of the balance.
Odd Leikvoll is the founder of Hardanger Bestikk.
Across several decades, Leikvoll developed some of Hardanger Bestikk’s most recognisable collections, moving between ornament, Scandinavian minimalism and new approaches to surface and construction. His designs were created to function naturally in the hand, while remaining distinctive enough to become part of everyday life around the table.

Hardanger Nina Steak Knife — 12 Pieces is a 12-piece steak knife from the Nina series by Hardanger Bestikk.
Hardanger Nina Steak Knife — 12 Pieces contains 12 steak knives supplied in bulk (L: 22 cm).
The Nina series was designed by Odd Leikvoll and introduced in 1998.
Hardanger Bestikk describes Nina through references to Norwegian nature and rococo-influenced ornamentation from the Hardanger region. The pattern includes S- and C-shaped curves, a form language also connected with traditional rosemaling from the area.
Hardanger Nina Steak Knife — 12 Pieces is made from 18/8 stainless steel. The 18/8 designation refers to a stainless-steel composition with 18% chromium and 8% nickel, a material type commonly used for cutlery.
Hardanger Nina Steak Knife — 12 Pieces can be washed in a dishwasher. After use, the pieces should be rinsed before dishwasher cleaning, especially if they have been in contact with acidic or salty food. To preserve the polished stainless-steel surface, dry the pieces after washing rather than leaving them damp for longer periods.
