The Maria 48-piece set creates a complete table setting for twelve people. It includes twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve dinner spoons and twelve teaspoons. Together, the four essential pieces allow Maria's flowing contours, polished surfaces and distinctive balance between soft and more pointed forms to repeat with a harmonious rhythm around the table.

Designed by Norwegian designer Odd Leikvoll in 2014, Maria draws inspiration from the movement of waves in the Hardanger Fjord. The collection combines soft, flowing lines with more defined transitions, creating a subtle tension within otherwise gentle forms. This contrast gives Maria a character that feels both expressive and approachable, while remaining distinctly Scandinavian in its restraint.

Maria is characterised by the meeting of soft and more sharply defined forms. This is especially visible in the knife, where the handle appears to embrace the blade and creates a deliberate tension between rounded and pointed elements. The design relies on contour and proportion rather than ornament, giving the collection a sculptural identity that becomes more apparent both in the hand and around the table.

Maria is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish and is dishwasher-safe. The dinner knife measures 24 cm, the dinner fork 21 cm, the dinner spoon 21 cm and the teaspoon 14 cm. The carefully balanced weight and proportions contribute to the comfortable grip that is central to the Maria design.

Maria was designed by Norwegian designer Odd Leikvoll for Hardanger Bestikk and introduced in 2014. Inspired by the landscape and movement of the Hardanger Fjord, Leikvoll created a collection in which softness and tension coexist within the same form. Its polished stainless steel, balanced weight and expressive transitions give Maria a distinctive presence while allowing it to contribute quietly to the guest experience around the table.
