Designed by Odd Leikvoll in 1994, Kristin draws inspiration from an era when craftsmanship played a central role in Norwegian everyday culture. The collection translates references to traditional Norwegian wood carving into stainless steel, combining elaborate ornamentation with functional proportions. The result is a design that carries a strong sense of cultural heritage while remaining intended for contemporary life around the table.

Kristin is recognised by the complex, relief-like decoration running through its handles. The pattern is inspired by Norwegian craft traditions and is produced using a specialised technique that allows the intricate ornamentation to become part of the form itself. This gives each piece depth, tactility and a visual identity that is unmistakably connected to Norwegian design heritage.

Kristin is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish and is dishwasher-safe. The dinner knife measures 21.1 cm, the dinner fork 19.55 cm, the dinner spoon 19.55 cm and the teaspoon 12.75 cm. The compact proportions allow the richly detailed handles to remain expressive while the individual pieces feel balanced and comfortable in use.

Kristin was designed by Norwegian designer Odd Leikvoll for Hardanger Bestikk and introduced in 1994. Through the collection, Leikvoll brought references to traditional Norwegian craftsmanship into a contemporary cutlery design, creating a distinctive meeting between cultural heritage, ornament and everyday function.
