The Carina 48-piece set creates a complete table setting for twelve people. It includes twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve dinner spoons and twelve teaspoons. Together, the four pieces form the essential Carina place setting and allow the collection's softly curved lines and characteristic surface contrasts to repeat naturally around the table.

Designed by Odd Leikvoll in 1989, Carina has a soft and distinctly Scandinavian expression that has remained relevant for decades. Its gently undulating lines have been compared to calm waves on open water, while the rounded edges and subtle asymmetry give each piece an inviting character. The result is a design that feels decorative without becoming ornamental, bringing a quiet sense of rhythm to the table.

Carina is defined by the interplay between brushed and polished stainless-steel surfaces. Rather than treating the finish as decoration, the contrast follows and emphasises the softly asymmetrical form of each piece. Light moves differently across the two surfaces, revealing the contours of the design and giving the cutlery a more tactile and dimensional presence at the table.

Carina is made from 18/10 stainless steel and is dishwasher-safe. The dinner knife measures 20.6 cm, the dinner fork 18.5 cm, the dinner spoon 18.2 cm and the teaspoon 12.8 cm. The relatively compact proportions and rounded forms contribute to the comfortable, balanced feeling that characterises the collection in the hand.

Carina was designed by Norwegian designer Odd Leikvoll for Hardanger Bestikk and launched in 1989. The collection reflects Hardanger Bestikk's tradition of bringing Scandinavian design into everyday table culture, combining practical function with a distinctive visual identity.
