Series guide
The Forge de Laguiole “Passedat” series was designed by Christian Ghion for chef Gérald Passédat. Its full densified-ash handle follows a fluid, elongated profile with a polished steel finish, giving the knife an elegant and highly functional presence at the table. Each piece is made and finished in Laguiole, France.
Densified ash retains the visible linear grain of ash while pressure and treatment give it a denser, more stable and often darker expression. It begins as natural wood, so the grain can vary, although the densification process produces a more controlled appearance than untreated wood.
The pieces are made and finished by Forge de Laguiole in the village of Laguiole, France. The workshop shapes, assembles and refines the steel, handle and characteristic details.
Personal engraving may be possible and should be agreed before production so the workshop can confirm the placement and technical details.
Wash the pieces carefully by hand and dry them immediately after cleaning. Avoid prolonged soaking, and use a dishwasher only when the individual product is specifically marked as water resistant.
